Pictured above is Miss Richmond Area 2005, Elizabeth Van Kersen, being crowned by Miss
Richmond Area 2004, Amber Jones, as Miss Richmond Area director, Jimmy Mawyer looks on.
Elizabeth also won the Talent Award for her rendition of Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude"
on the piano. She received a $500 scholarship with the title and a $50 scholarship for winning top talent honors.
Elizabeth also received $250 gift certificates to Debbrah's and Carreen's, $100 gift certificates to Modiste and Paperdolls,
and $25 gift certificates to JC Penney's, Dawahare's, Dillard's and Kohl's.
The 1st runner-up and winner of a $300 scholarship was Natasha Stamper. The 2nd
runner-up and winner of a $100 scholarship was Ashley Upton. The Nonfinalist Interview Award and a $50 scholarship was
presented to Jessica Horsley.
Other contestants were Kelly Dudley, Lindsay Jackson, Erin Jones, and Laura Patterson.
