The winners are in! Congratulations to our new titleholders for 2005. Miss Richmond
Area, Elizabeth Van Kersen; Miss Richmond Area Teen, Laura Beth Wise; Miss Pre-Teen Richmond Area, Miranda McCord and Little
Miss Richmond Area, Sloane Crum. They were crowned at the 2005 Miss Richmond Area Pageant held Saturday, November 13,
2004 at Madison Middle School in Richmond, Kentucky. Pageant Director is James E. Mawyer.

and times for the 2006 pageant. Below is more information about the Miss America system:
As a Kentucky high school senior or a college/university student, you meet the first qualification.
You must be a 17 year old high school senior by the date of the preliminary competition and no older than 24 by September
30th of the year in which you would compete in the Miss America national finals.
The "Miss Richmond Area Scholarship Pageant" is an official Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant
Preliminary. If you win these two competitions you are afforded the opportunity to compete in the Miss America Pageant
in Atlantic City. What are the rewards of competing in this program? For two years the Kentucky organization was
#1 with nationwide college and university tuition scholarships. This past year over $24,000,000.00 was awarded to women
on the local, state and national levels. The Miss America Scholarship organization is the largest non-profit scholarship
organization for women in the world. The Miss Richmond Area Organization will award $1,000 in scholarships in memory
of Dale L. Wagner.
